It all started with a big bang!

Cradle of Humankind

Random day trips are one of my favorite past times, but a day trip that includes skulls, definitely makes it to my top 5 favorites list! The Cradle of Humankind is a skull overload!

This World Heritage paleoanthropological site has produced the largest number of hominin fossils ever found. Some fossils date back as far as 3.5 million years ago, making them amongst the oldest ever discovered.

The spaceship-like building has loads of interactive discovery and underground cave exploration, that even your grandmother will enjoy. The entire exhibit has a science fiction approach to illustrating humankind’s past present and future. Double bonus that there is a kickass skull around every corner!
