Cabin in the woods

Mountain Fly Fishing, Magoebaskloof

Running away is an option, despite what you may hear.

Packing your fur children, husband, and camera in the car and heading off to recharge your soul, is something I wish I could do more often.

This particular adventure led us to a cozy cabin, tucked away between the trees in the land of the silver mist, Magoebaskloof. I’m not entirely sure what I was expecting when entering Limpopo, but what I saw surprised me somewhat. Air so clean it almost hurt my weak ass little lungs and moisture that makes Durban seem like an arid land. Endless forests and dangly moss growing from every tree makes you feel like you’re in a scene of “Gorillas in the mist.”
Days were filled pondering the meaning of life with our feet bobbing in the crystal waters and nights were spent chasing the stars.

Hopefully, the stars align soon so we can adventure more often to declutter our headspace and rejuvenate our souls.
We all could do with the occasional earthing!
